Thank you for using DoneCaptain. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.

Depending on how you use DoneCaptain, we may collect the following information.

Account information

• Email address
• Encrypted authentication credentials managed through Supabase

Productivity data

Information you choose to store in DoneCaptain, including:

• Tasks
• Calendar events
• Categories
• Reports and notes
• Daily planning information
• User preferences
• Avatar configuration
• Notification preferences

Voice data

When you use voice features, we process voice recordings, speech transcriptions, and voice interaction metadata.

Voice recordings and transcriptions are processed to provide speech recognition, conversational AI functionality, and voice responses. Depending on the feature being used, audio and related text may be processed by OpenAI to generate AI responses.

AI conversations

Messages you send to the AI assistant are processed to generate responses and execute requested actions.

Technical information

We may collect technical information such as device type, browser or operating system, app version, error reports, performance and usage analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the DoneCaptain service
• Authenticate your account
• Synchronize your data across devices
• Process voice requests
• Generate AI responses
• Improve reliability and performance
• Send notifications you have enabled
• Maintain security and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Service Providers

We use trusted third-party providers to operate DoneCaptain, including Supabase, Cloudflare, OpenAI, Google Analytics, and Meta Pixel. These providers only receive the information necessary to provide their respective services.

5. Data Storage

Your productivity data is stored securely using Supabase.

Some requests are processed through Cloudflare Workers before being securely transmitted to OpenAI where required for AI functionality.

6. Notifications

If you enable notifications, DoneCaptain may store notification preferences and device-specific notification identifiers necessary to deliver notifications.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the service or comply with legal obligations.

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data where applicable.

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting privacy@donecaptain.com.

DoneCaptain also provides an in-app reset function that clears your stored productivity data. This reset does not currently delete your account.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If significant changes are made, we will update the effective date and notify users where appropriate.
